Mike O’Leary, IMFT (Independent Marriage and Family Therapist) is the founder of Connective Counseling, a private psychotherapy practice based in Columbus, OH. He received his Masters degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology(Marriage and Family therapy concentration) from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Since 2007, Mike has counseled individuals, couples, and families from a wide variety of backgrounds, dealing with a broad spectrum of presenting issues. He specializes in issues of the family, including child/adolescent issues, relationship issues, attachment disorders, parenting. He also has notable experience and training in helping clients working through trauma, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety.
Mike is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and play therapy, and is an experienced musician of 18 years. When appropriate, these innovative skill sets are used to enhance the client’s therapeutic experience.
Mike created Connective Counseling in order to serve individuals, couples, and families seeking connection and wellness in their lives in re-attaching to their goals, loved ones, dreams, and aspirations.

Marlies’ personal philosophy is centered around the belief that we have a right to experience this world in a way that is unique to each of us, while maintaining respect for those around us. Her goal is to help people to find an inner balance, start the healing process and develop ways to enhance their daily lives.
By bringing a lifetime of experience, excellent clinical training in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), extensive experience in Relational Therapy, in the areas of relationship issues, depression, anxiety, substance abuse and family issues, Marlies encourages her client to fully engage in their counseling process and acts as a guide while they do so.
Marlies received her undergraduate degree from Capital University with a major in psychology in 2003. She graduated from the University of Dayton in 2006 with her M.S in Counseling Education. Since graduation, Marlies has worked with individuals, parents, children and families. Each client has brought their individual strengths and issues to the counseling process and from each Marlies has learned much.
Marlies lives in the Dublin area with her dear husband, their three cats and Sadie, their lab.
